While at the University of the South Pacific, I realised how important it is to provide excellent customer service and support to students and visitors. Seeing their appreciation and knowing that I made their day a little easier really motivated me to continue in this line of work.
What I enjoy most about my work is the opportunity to interact with different people every day. I love building relationships and being the friendly face that helps guide them. Additionally, I find satisfaction in solving problems and improving processes to make everything run more smoothly. It feels rewarding to know that my efforts can contribute to a positive environment for everyone.
In addition to building relationships, I really enjoy the challenge of multitasking. Every day brings new situations, whether it’s managing visitor inquiries, coordinating events, or assisting students with their accounts. This variety keeps my work exciting and allows me to develop new skills continuously. I’m always learning something new, whether it’s about the university, different cultures, or effective communication strategies.
Moreover, I find great fulfillment in contributing to a welcoming environment. Whether it’s a student feeling nervous about their exams or a visitor needing directions, I love being that reliable source of help. Overall, my experiences have not only shaped my professional skills but also helped me grow as a person, and I’m excited to see where this journey takes me next.
